Meet Alex Nicholls: Breathwork Practitioner, Blue Mountains & Sydney

Alex found breathwork while going through her own season of wanting a different relationship with herself, her body, and her inner experience. She first discovered Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), which resonated deeply, and went on to complete 300 hours of CCB training.

Through this work, Alex discovered Facilitated Breath Repatterning (FBR) - initially as a breather herself. Drawn to the depth and subtlety of the practice, she spent over a year immersed in the FBR community in Bali, completing 400 hours of FBR training alongside her own ongoing practice.

Alongside her training, Alex was mentored in circle facilitation, deepening her experience holding group spaces and supporting breathers through the FBR process.

Alex's own path through grief and deep personal loss shaped how she facilitates - she knows first-hand that healing isn't about being fixed, but about being met. For her, FBR is less about trying to fix or change ourselves and more about developing the capacity to meet our experience with curiosity, presence, and compassion. Her role as a facilitator isn't to tell someone what their experience means, but to create a supportive space where they can explore it for themselves.

Alex is the founder of Humans of Breath and co-founder of Breathwork Sydney, facilitating private sessions and group circles across the Blue Mountains and Sydney.
